Can someone help me with running my events??


Question:i run the 4x800m, 1600m, 400m, 800m, and the 4x400m
i run only 4 of these events each track meet.i either run the 1600m or the 400m.i wanna bring all my times down
my 800m is 2:11 and my 400m time is 54 secs and my 1600m time is 5:25....

i need a workout that will help me qualify for regionals
in my conference, i need to be at 52 secs flat in the 400m, 2:05 in the 800m and 4:40 in the mile...i wanna qualify in at least one of my events

does anyone have any tips?

i run the 400m, 800m, and 4x800m and also want to bring down my times. my team has been doing pyramid workouts and have really worked for me. [800m, 600m, 400m, 200m, rest for 15 minutes then 200m, 400m, 600m, 800m]. good luck and hope you make it.

just do leg presses and endurance training. run every day and push yourself to get faster. i run track and cross country and i just keep running all year long.

How hard should I push myself when running? And how far should I run?

I run the 1600, and 3200, and I'm at a 5:30 mile, and 12:00 2mile.

My workout schedule is:
Mon.---- 30min tempo run + weight room
Teus.---- 5mile jog + ab training
Wed.---- distance ladders - running at consistant speed
Thurs.---- 40min jog + ab training
Fri.---- sprint workout - series of 300s or whatever
Sat.+Sun.---- Ab training + weight room

Is boiled eggs good tonight for my track meet tomorrow?

I am currently running Division One college track and I will tell you my basic training style in HS that allowed me to bring my times down to times that are all faster that what you want to run.

If meet is on Saturday.

Mondays - A hard long run, I would usually try to do 10 miles in around 64 mins and then as I was trying to really get fast at the end in under 60. Should be hard but not too hard since tuesday is a workout
Tuesday- hard 800 or 1000 workout
Wedseday- This workout can be switch with Thursdays depending on weather and how you are feeling. I would usually do a medium run 6 miles at 6:40 pace
Thursday- 20 min or 3 mile tempo run followed by at least 12 200's
Friday - easy run in the morning 4 miles. and light activity in the evening to stay loose.

Of course if meet is on friday night you adjust so that your easy run is on thursday.
On Sunday I usually would go for a long easy run.

just would should try to have a speed workout day and endurance workout day. long hard run day and a fairly easy day to let your body recover. One should listen to your body.

At the end of season subsitute 4's for the 8's
