Track meet ppl??
bobert is right. Also good to note is that there are 'long distance runners' 'jumpers' and 'throwers' people aree classified by the events that they do.
I'm a sprinter, I run the 110m, the 300m, the 4 x 400, the 100m and I do the triple jump.which is a jump event.
Most of the time jumpers train with the sprinters because otherwise they'd do nothing at practice.
The three main groups of track, sprinters long distance and throwers all train in different ways with different coaches.
Running pants for shorter runners?
they run short distances in small amounts of time..
100m, 200m, 400m, 4x100m relay, 4x400m relay, 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles, sometimes 800.
Why is it that runners run in the track and field in counter-clock wise?
A sprinter runs events up to 400 meters. Even though the 800 is classified as a dash you can not sprint that distance, but it is not a distance race it is a middle distance race. So anything where you run an event 400 meters or less is what sprinters do.
When to stop?
Generally sprinters are classified as runners that run 400m or less. These are the quicker events that require runners to have a quicker turnover and run on the ball of their foot. Sprinters have different workout routines that focus on quick turnover and larger more powerful quadricep and hamstring muscles when weight lifting. Hope that helps!

I am a long distance runner, but sprinter's run 400m and down. 400m is a lap around the track. If you are a long distance runner like me you do the mile (1600m), the mile in a half, (1200), and the 2 mile (3200)...
Tips on how to improve for the beep test?
a sprinter in track would run the short distance which is anything from 800 and down
Sprinters in track are the ones who run the 100m-400m dashes. They have to run at full capacity and get really tired at the end. =D Lol. So, yeah, that's about it.
Heal pain in my left foot?
they usually participate in the sprints in a track event. this includes the 100m, 200m, and 400m. they may also be part of the the 4x100 and 4x400 relay. being labeled as a sprinter doesn't limit your participation to the sprints, just labels you as a fast runner for a short amount of time.
