Should I weigh more or less?
When it comes to hip injuries, in addition to icing and resting, the best treatment is to do stretching and strengthening exercises in the hips, abdomen, quads, and hamstrings. Also, if you continue with these exercises, you will help avoid becoming injured again.
Below is a link to a list of strengthening exercises that will help. The ones for the hips are towards the bottom.
Good luck on your recovery.

Gradually lower the body

Turn your shoulders so that you are facing to the right
Using your left arm against your right knee to help ease you further round
Use your right arm on the floor for support
You will feel the stretch along the length of the spine and in the muscles around the right hip

One great feature that comes standard in the human body is the communication feature. When it hurts, it is communicating to you that you need to rest it. So you're gonna have to take off and let it heal up. Continuing to aggravate it will cause you to have problems with it for the rest of your life.
Seeing a doctor ain't a bad idea either.
