Can i do skipping instead of running,is it same effecitve?

Are Brooks shoes still good for running?

As long as get your body up to the challenge. Skipping would seem alot harder to do for distance, but would actually work the same amount of muscle groups, if not more. i would recommend running at first then try skipping the same distance, and see how that works. Do what you have more fun doing. If skipping is your thing, by all means do it. Who knows, you might start a trend.

Is this a good time for the mile? How do I improve?

You will probably not be able to go nearly as quickly as you can with running, so it might not burn as many calories. But that's not really important if you enjoy skipping more (and won't feel silly doing it). If you have fun doing something, you're much more likely to keep at it.

Where could i find track and field standings for Arizona athletes?

Skipping uses virtually all the same muscles so yeah it has the same effect. The only difference is that you will burn less calories but if weight isnt i problem skipping is for you.

Does jogging in cold weather affect your performance?

I've run as far as 15 miles at a time, but I've never been able to skip for more than a quarter mile, so in my mind, skipping might actually be a superior work out. A lot of it would depend upon how high you go and, like running, how fast you go. Otherwise, the same muscle groups should be worked.

You may have a huge advantage here. I couldn't find any world records on Guinness's site, so if you get good at it, you can start setting some. Even if they get broken later, you'll have something to tell your grandkids. And an answer for those random "Tell something interesting about yourself" questions.
