I just got a new skateboard and i am really bad at using it! Do you have any tips or advice about skateboarding? I would really apreciate it! Thanx.
I have taught atleast ten people to skate
so dont worry theres hope
first of all
just ride it back and forth down your street, in your garage, or in your basement
the more you do that, the more you get the feel of the board and the faster you'll get your balance
skating is all about patience, persistence, and major practice
also, you have to work your way up to the harder things
dont think you can do any tricks if you cant even balnce
once you get your balance down.
then you need to practice turning.
to turn, you can either lean toward the side of the board you want to turn to
and the trucks will turn.
the more productive way, '
You tip back onto your back two wheels and shift the front of your board in the direction yyou want to go then just set the board flat
its reall easy
all you have to remember is that you need to PRACTICE DAILY
once you get your turning down
rolll in circles till your balance is perfect
depending on who you are, this could take a day, a week, or a month.
then, you can go to skateparks and practice riding up and down ramps
(not have pipes) just the slanted hills.
Once your balance is perfect then you come back on here and ask a question about
