I am a Browns fan and i know they got a lot of free agents but I want to know who should they get when the draft day comes.
Does J. Russel deserve guaranteed around $30 million from Oakland?
I would draft Adrian Peterson. It is about drafting the best player available, not position drafting. Adrian Peterson is an amazing running back prospect. RBs coming out make much more of an immediate impact than QBs. Brady Quinn just seems like too much of a soap opera to me.
Peterson would split carries with the old man, Jammal Lewis. If their offensive line holds up, and Lecharles Bentley actually plays one year with the Browns, the could have one of the best rushing offenses in the AFC. They could try to give Charlie Frye some more time to develop, and see if he can play a little better behind a better offensive line.
Us Browns fans dont want to see a first round QB, even since a flop named Tim Couch. Quinn is not the Browns' future franchise player. Stick with Peterson, please for the sanity of us Browns' fans!
Top 10 Best RBs in da NFL?
This pick could go one of three ways, assuming the Browns don’t trade down. The team could go with either QB Brady Quinn, OT Joe Thomas, or RB Adrian Peterson. If they stay at No. 3, I believe they will opt for the potential franchise quarterback.
They don't actually NEED anyone, since they are already staffed at every position. Participating in the draft is probably a waste of money and time.
An old expression says that "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence." It's tempting for the Browns to feel like other teams are getting something on draft day, but they should remember that any team that participates in the draft is just operating out of envy and spite. They should learn to be happy with who they have.
Do you know your football?
Frankly, I would still rather see the Browns trade down and pick up a few more draft picks. If they don't do that I would rather see them get Joe Thomas, which means they will either draft Quinn or Peterson.
Can anybody tell me the starters for the daalas cowboys when they won super bowl XXX vs.Pittsburgh?
Brady Quinn, He's the real deal and is an NFL style QB. He'll have more success than Jamarcus early on.
Do i have a chance at playin football?
i think adrian peterson is the way to go and pick up an OL in the later rounds
In terms of winning the Super Bowl, how important is the two RB system nowadays?
Peterson has the best chance of being a star, even though the Browns got J Lewis for at least 1 year . Quinn will be a major bust- I'm a ND fan and if not for Szmarjda having such great hands , Quinn would have not looked near as good .Anytime you take a OL early , its a big risk for a major bust , as seen by Manderich, Gallery , and many others.
Who is the most overrated football player in the Nfl?
Gosh, were to begin. First off, their most pressing need is a franchise quarterback. Drafting a guy like Brady Quinn would definitely sure up that need. Also, they need a solid runningback and linemen. Seriously, Jamal Lewis only has a few years left in the tank, and their line is terrible. Well, these should be it, except maybe a few good defensive players and a wideout.
Of all the teams that never won a Super Bowl, who would you like to see win one?
if I was in control of that team, i would proably trade down to see my other options, M. Lynch could be there in the second Round for goodness sakes, and how is he less valuable to this team than Peterson, looking realistically he had less injury problems and could do way more heavy duty stuff for my team, me i would see if i could trade down a little bit to teams that are looking for thomas petesron or Quinn and get the best pick back that i can, i like A Okoye, i like L Landry, why not grab one of those guys, or even get what is left out of the three we are talking about, Petreson could even be available at # 9 or 10 why not wait, but if i was forced to pick at # 3 i would pick the franchise QB Brady Quinn and wait to see if Lynch will be available at 36 or OC Ryan Kalil or OT T. Ugoh, you see the browns are in a confortable position to fill theyre needs even in later picks, so yeah have fun on draft day
Has an NFL team ever made it to the Superbowl when it was held in their home stadium?
I think if Joe Thomas is there they should pick him. The offensive line sucked last year. The reason Reuben Droughens had such a big drop off from 1,000+ yards to less than a 1,000 yards is because of the offensive line. Reuben Droughens is a good running back. Another reason is it would be nice to see Charlie Frye throw a pass without have to run for his life! Every time he drops back there are at least 3 or 4 people on him
Does anyone know who picked Troy Smith?? or did he not get picked at all?
Well Brady Quinn would be a franchise qb that would be an impact player and would make Cleveland money. A running back like Adrian Peterson might help as well, because jamal Lewis is old.
Which jerseys is worn by the home team? light or dark?
the browns should pick joe thomas or calvin johnson.brady quinn is not the answer and peterson is just a running back.you could get one off free agency.which you have(jamal lewis)
Who is going to be in the NFC championship game this year?
I am surprised by how quickly the Browns have given up on Charlie Frye. Especially after the injuries they had on the OL. I think it is definitely worth the money they have spent on him to let him have a shot with a healthy line.
This is definitely a strong draft for RB. Although there are only two projected to be in the first round there are definitely some very good backs who will be drafted in the later rounds such as:
Lorenzo Booker - Florida State
Tony Hunt - Penn State
Kenny Irons - Auburn
Antonio Pittman - Ohio State
Darius Walker - Notre Dame
Michael Bush - Louisville
All these guys will go in the 2nd or 3rd rounds. Also don't be surprised if Justin Vincent - LSU and Garrett Wolfe - Northern Illionois (a preseason Heisman candidate) who will probably fall to the second day become productive backs in the future.
So, I would trade down. My guess would be that the most willing team to trade up would be Atlanta due to their extra 2nd round pick from the Schaub deal and would love to keep Calvin Johnson at home. They could get pick 8 and another second rounder. If that were the case I would draft like this on the first day.
Pick 8 (Atlanta) Laron Landry S LSU
A top-notch two-way defender who brings a lot of confidence, experience and the ability to play at a high level against the run and pass. He is a very flexible defender with the hips to turn and run with most tight ends or slot receivers and is also very adept at blitzing from the slot. He ran 4.35 in the 40-yard dash though some watches had him as fast as 4.29. He then showed very good balls skills, while impressing everyone with his smarts, competitiveness and attitude during interviews. He would solidify the Browns backfield and is the type of player who could thrive in a Crennel defense.
Pick 36 Tony Hunt RB Penn State
This is the best "big" back in the draft in terms of size, power and ability to carry the load (25 to 30 carries per game) on a consistent basis at the next level. He may lack ideal straight-line speed -- he runs in the mid-4.5s -- but he gets better throughout the game and can pound a defense for four quarters. Hunt's ability to force the pile forward comes from his strong lower body and the fact that he runs hard and with determination. He's not a flashy runner, but by the end of the game, he often ended up with over 100 yards or turned in enough plays to make him the difference maker in most of Penn State's wins the past two seasons. They need a guy who can pound the ball and can do it without injuries. Hunt is the man.
Pick 39 (Atlanta) James Marten OT Boston College
A hard-nosed, throw-back style blocker that will do whatever it takes to battle the guy lined up in front of him. He has the potential to start anywhere along the offensive line including center. He was able to handle quicker edge rushers for most of the season, and did so again during the Senior Bowl practices. He flashes a nasty streak which could inspire the toughness which the OL is lacking in Cleveland now.
Pick 67 Justin Harrell DT Tennessee
If leadership and determination were the top categories for defensive linemen, then he might be the top pick of the DT in the draft. He played in a game after suffering a torn biceps tendon and has fought back to record 23 bench reps of 225 pounds at the NFL scouting combine. He plays better with his head up, but he can shed and make plays or take up space and allow linebackers to fill the gap. There are not enough interior defenders with his size, toughness, competitiveness and production, so if he passes all the medical exams he could be the answer to replacing an aging Ted Washington in the coming years.
Why isn't Brady Quinn #1 football draft choice?
I AM A BROWNS FAN ALSO AND I GOTTA TELL YOU THEY NEED JESUS. THEY CAN'T RUN THE BALL OR PASS THE BALL IF THE QB IS ALWAYS ON HIS BACK. MY MIND SAYS BRADY QUINN BECAUSE HE PLAYED IN A PRO SYSTEM, AND HOW MANY QBS COME OUT FROM THE SAME SYSTEM AS TOM BRADY. BUT MY HEART SAYS TAKE ADRIAN PETERSON AND IN THE SECOND OR THIRD ROUND TAKE THE HOMETOWN PLAYER TROY SMITH BUT WHO KNOWS BECAUSE LAST YEAR I NEVER SAW OR HEARD ANY RUMORS ABOUT KAMERION WIMBLEY AND THE YEAR BEFORE I NEVER KNEW THAT BRAYLON EDWARDS WAS EVEN ON THEIR RADAR. THIS COACHING STAFF HAS SHOWN THAT YOU SHOULD EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED SO WHO KNOWS WHO THEY WILL PICK. HOPEFULLY THE WON'T BE 4-12 WITH WHOMEVER THEY PICK.
Should Jack Tatum have apologized to Darryl Stingley for the crushing hit that paralyzed him in 1978?
I need taglines for our youth football team TITANS and FALCONS?
If the browns take Adrian Peterson, it'll only legitimize them as the joke of the AFC North, when he continues his elite college tradition of never-ending injuries. Quinn, trading down, or Joe Thomas are their best options.
