Hey Brent! This is a very good question and would have been quite a fight. Both of these fighters are among my favorites and I did watch both of them fight quite a few times. Arguello was a precision puncher and of course would have the advantage in height and reach. Nelson was an outstanding boxer puncher and tough as nails too. I believe that this would be a very close contest with both men landing some hard shots. I believe that the difference would be the jab of Arguello and his edge in punching power. Nelson however, would not be an easy opponent to say the least and would land a lot of punches too. My pick here is Arguello by a split decision.

Do u think that there is a pakisthani hand in the death of bob woolmer?

arguello by points. with both in their prime its a case of a little too much. a little too tall, a little too strong, a chin a little too good. it would have been great fight. the true greats in boxing are seldom in their prime at the same time and, when they are, they don't want to take a major risk of defeat

Do you think the Rocky should be in a zimmer frame in the ring?

salvadore sanchez stopped a inexperienced vastly unknown nelson in the 15th rd tko the only stoppage loss on nelsons career so we know his chin was made of granite, arguello punched either opens cuts for a late tko victory or he wins a close split decision

Does anyone know what bars the De La Hoya - Mayweather fight will be shown in Sandusky, OH?

Wow! This is a tough fight to pick! Nelson was a warrior and he also could box and was a decent puncher with a good chin. Arguello had the better jab and reach and was a bigger banger than Nelson. I think Alexis would try to keep Nelson on the end of his jab and try to time him with crisp right hands (crosses and uppercuts) coming in. Nelson would try to work the body and try to take the fight inside of Arguello's reach. I see both men landing some hard shots in this fight but i think that Nelson would tire late from having to get inside and taking punishment in the process. I say Arguello's boxing skills takes over the late rounds of this fight and he wins a close, but unanimous decision in a thrilling fight. Outstanding Question Brent!

De La Hoya and Mayweather are on. Who's gonna win?

Arguello - W 82 (KO's 65) TF 90 - W pct 91% - KO pct 72% - wins over C. Castillo, Olivares, Escalera[2], Mancini, Boza-Edwards, Watt, Limon and Chacon - KO'ed by Pryor{2} - #20 ranked puncher - #20 ranked fighter

Nelson - W 39 (KO's 28) TF 46 - W pct 85% - KO pct 61% - wins over Lieja[2], Gomez, Fenech and La Porte - KO'ed by Sanchez - #65 ranked fighter

In this fight, I have Arguello in a close 15 rd unanimous decision.

Is there anyone certified through the Boxing Fitness Institute?

Arguello in is his prime was unstoppable at Jr lightweight. Like most boxers they make the mistake of trying to move up a weight class like Arguello did against Pryor and they lose due to the difference in punching power. Pryor was a great fighter in his own right. Salvador sanchez stopped Nelson in the 15th. He was a counter puncher with unbeliveably fast hands. Arguello took the fight to his opponents. I think the constant pressure and stiff left jab by Arguello would be to much for Nelson to handle and Arguello would eventually wear him down and knock him out. If he didnt knock him out he would win a unanimous decision. Arguello hit harder than any fighter Nelson fought throughout his career.
